| Dr. Hammerschlag is a Yale trained psychiatrist who spent
almost twenty years as a physician with Native Americans in the Southwest.
There, two very different worlds collided, and he found that what he always
dismissed as superstition turned out to be far more vital to human healing
than he ever suspected. His experiences and insights are chronicled in
two books, The Dancing Healers (also a PBS mini-series) and The Theft
of the Spirit. His lecture program Success Is A Leap Of Faith, helps us
to close the gap between what we know and what we want to understand.
He shows us that whatever we face–ordinary transition or extraordinary
challenge–we can become the hero of our own journey. Rather than
becoming confused with a multitude of choices, we can make peace with
the hand we are dealt and play to win. We can confront our fears and in
so doing, find the courage to realize our dreams. |
