Crystal Arlene Kuykendall holds a Doctorate in
Educational Administration and Law Degree. A member of numerous professional
associations including the D.C. Bar Association, she is a former school
teacher and University Instructor. She has been Executive Director of
the National Alliance of Black School Educators and Director of Urban
& Minority Relations for the National School Boards Association. Appointed
by President Jimmy Carter, she was Chairperson of the National Advisory
Council on Continuing Education and was selected by the editors of Ebony
Magazine as one of the "50 Leaders of the Future" (1978). A
recipient of scores of service awards, she has been called a gifted, gracious,
dynamic and inspiring speaker. Her audiences laugh, cry, and experience
an incredible array of emotions as she weaves her magic behind a microphone.
Audiences connect instantly with her high energy, charm, charismatic delivery
and moving messages. The author of 3 books, including From Rage to Hope:
Strategies for Reclaiming Black and Hispanic Students, she informs and
empowers her audiences as she facilitates long term problem resolution
and addresses such sensitive issues as student apathy/motivation, discipline/classroom
management, diversity, parental involvement, learning styles and teacher
