Dr. Zacharie Clements
Personal Responsibility

For more than 30 years Dr. Zach Clements has been inspiring, regaling, and challenging educators in all 50 states and throughout the world – and winning standing ovations! Why? His vivid inspirational portraits of life and his poignant role playing emphasizing Personal Responsiblilty – always underscored with healthy humor – powerfully resonate with audiences. Little wonder. He knows whereof he speaks. Zach began life as a classic at-risk student raised in the Depression Era but thanks to an indomitable drive to succeed, the love of his grandmother, the old-world values of his grandfather, and a dedicated group of public school teachers and administrators he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of New York at Albany, and a Doctorate from the University of Buffalo. He has been a classroom teacher of English, History, and Reading. He also taught at three universities, culminating in a thirteen-year career as a full professor at the University of Vermont.

Whether this is his first presentation for your group or the fourth, Zach’s is guaranteed to be the highlight of your meeting or conference because as one superintendent enthusiastically put it, "Zach’s staying power attests to his message always being timely yet timeless.

"This is just a short note to thank you for a job well done at our recent USAA National Conference. Your presentation was well received by our group, and you probably noted that they would have spent another hour with you if we had not ‘rung the bell’. The message was powerful, humorous, and relevant to the issues that confront urban superintendents today. Whatever you are doing to keep vigorous and healthy, don’t change the program!"
