| During his 20 plus years working in the educational
field, Ian Jukes has been a teacher, writer, administrator, consultant,
university instructor, presenter and advisor. He is a consultant to a
large number of national and international corporations, school districts,
businesses, community organizations and other institutions. He has spoken
and consulted extensively throughout North America, working with communities
in both Canada and the United States to develop strategic long range plans
for the restructuring of schools and integration of technology across
the curriculum. During the last 14 years, he has made in excess of 4000
presentations in 42 states and 7 provinces. In the last year alone, he
has spoken to over 120,000 people. He is also the creator and co-developer
of TechWorks (by Teacher Created Materials) a comprehensive K-9
program designed to integrate technology skills across the curriculum.
As an educator first and a technologist second, his focus has consistently
remained on the absolute necessity for restructuring schools and communities
in order to make them relevant to the current and future needs of our
children.
